Participation in the auction

The buyer's premium on the total hammer price is currently 20%.

Swiss value added tax (VAT) is 8.1% and is levied on all auction items. The exception to this are state-minted gold coins, which are not subject to Swiss VAT.

Specifically marked lots are subject to margin taxation in accordance with article 24a MWSTG (Swiss VAT Act) upon delivery in Switzerland. The buyer's premium for these lots is 23% and includes Swiss value added tax.

If you take the goods abroad or we send the items to you abroad, Swiss value added tax does not apply. Please note that taxes and costs may be incurred when importing into the country of destination.

The auction terms and conditions are available as a PDF file and are listed in the printed catalogues as well as in the information section of the online catalogue. If you have any questions about the terms and conditions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yes, all our auctions can also be attended online. This means you can participate in the auction in real time from anywhere in the world and bid against the bidders in the auction room. You will find access to the live systems at the respective auction.

After a successful auction

We will send you your invoice by email shortly after the auction has ended. If your email address is not registered with us, you will receive the invoice by post.

We accept cash payments, transfers to our bank account, payments via PayPal (subject to PayPal fees) and cryptocurrencies BTC, ETH and USDT (payments with cryptocurrencies are limited in amount!).

Important: Please note that we cannot accept credit card payments.

We are happy to provide you with more information about payment methods.

You can collect auctioned items from our premises or, depending on their value, we can send them to you by post, express courier or secure transport. Please let us know your preferred option when you place your bid.

We insure all shipments. Please let us know if you do not require insurance cover.

Shipping costs vary depending on the destination country. However, you will only pay the price charged to us by the transport company for shipping. To optimise shipping costs, we do not send smaller lots as parcels, but as registered letters.

The insurance costs amount to 0.5% of the total of the hammer price and buyer's premium.

Costs and taxes may be incurred when importing goods into your country of destination – please check with your national customs authorities. As the sender, SINCONA has no influence whatsoever on any duties that may be levied.
